A group of twenty young people designed their own experiment over a five-week period, which was tested at the Lottolab Studio, currently open at the Science Museum in London.
Lottolab Studio is planning to create the world’s first centre of perception research, based at the museum. The centre will explore the fundamental principles by which the brain makes sense of itself and the world in a new and dynamic way. It will adopt a unique approach to integrative research by uniting the sciences, arts and education around a central topic (perception) in one space. The centre will also combine specialist scholarship, self-directed research/learning and wide public engagement in a ‘live lab’ environment that enables members of the public to be actively involved in,and directly affected by, the centre’s research, processes and outputs.
The BBC's Horizon, presented 'Is Seeing Believing?', around the topic of perception. The programme features the work of professor Beau Lotto. Here's the film we produced, which can also be seen on the Richard Dawkins Foundation's website.
